About JVP

Empowering coastal youth through education, leadership, and advocacy

Our Story

Jumuiya ya Vijana wa Pwani (JVP) is a registered regional youth organization established to unite, empower, and amplify the voices of young people across the six coastal counties of Kenya.

JVP was founded with the mission of creating a strong, collective synergy among the youth—bringing together their talents, ideas, challenges, and ambitions under one vibrant platform. Through a unified voice and collaborative action, JVP seeks to address the real issues affecting young people and to drive meaningful transformation within their communities.

Today, JVP stands as a beacon of hope, leadership, and progress for thousands of coastal youth. The organization is committed to nurturing responsible and visionary leaders, promoting access to opportunities, supporting innovation, and championing the social and economic development of the Coast Region.

Through youth-led initiatives, advocacy, capacity-building programs, and strategic partnerships, JVP continues to empower young people to take charge of their future, influence policy, and contribute actively to the prosperity of the entire coastal region.
